Lumberjack
Sport Decathlon
A combination of the modern athlete and the
extraordinary skill and courage of the American Lumberjack, the Ironjack Forest
Sport Decathlon melds together the top athletes from all lumberjack sports. Referred
to as the Olympics of the Forest, Ironjack features the most exciting events lumberjack
sports have to offer performed by its premier athletes.
Ironjack is a touring series, which gathers premier athletes from around the world
and puts their skills to the test. Only a select few, however, will have the perfect
skill combination to secure themselves a place in the final competition - the
Ironjack Championship.
Unlike
other competitions, which may feature chopping but no climbing events, or sawing
but no log rolling, audiences will find the Ironjack series to be truly captivating
without repetition. Athletes compete in ten distinctly different events: springboard
chop, single buck, underhand chop, obstacle pole chokerman’s race, axe throw,
speed birling, tree topping, stock saw, speed climbing, and log rolling. To become
the champion an athlete must be skilled in all aspects of lumberjacking. If an
athlete fails in one he can regain in another, but the one who is best across
the board will be Ironjack Champion.
